Above the Clouds

Future members of the Grigor Dimitrov Underachievement Hall of Fame Alexander Zverev and Dominic Thiem took a quick helicopter ride to access some mini tennis courts with a view in Acapulco. The guys are south of the border for the Mexican Open, underway now ...

P.S.

I sure hope Dom's not too "girl" crazy to concentrate ...

Underachievement, tough call. Clearly, none of them are in the Roger/Rafa/Nole/Andy club, not even the DelPorto/Cilic/Wawinka stunners' club.

On the other hand, though, its like finishing 4-10 off podium at the Olympics -- they are true world-class, of the handful of the hundreds on tour and thousands professionally and millions of players worldwide. A remarkable achievement all-in-all.

Alexander Zverev will get there; of the Big Four, only Rafa had a slam (3) tracking to Zverev's age. If not through upping his game, through attrition. Milos too if he can endure the physical challenges.

@Mike: I don't disagree with you. But even during the reign of terror that was Chris Evert and Martina Navratilova, Hana Mandlikova -- who reminds me a lot of Dmitrov -- was able to win a handful of majors. I think you're right that these three guys will probably pull a Wozniacki and finally get the monkey off their back when the Big Four are either retired or not in the draw.
