Almost Golden
Coverage of the Oscar Pistorius murder case has quieted down considerably in recent months, but Vanity Fair takes a fresh look, with an extensive interview with Detective Hilton Botha, a 24-year veteran of the South African Police Service, who was the first guy on the scene but then later removed.

Do you buy the Blade Runner's "intruder" defense?
Tommy Socks It to Jack
If it seems un-American of me to be happy Tommy Haas beat up-and-coming American Jack Sock at the French Open, just remember one thing: Tommy's an American now too!

On Tabloid Tours, the View Is Tawdry
My parents arrive tomorrow, but their traveling companions have already booked every second of every day with wholesome activities. If they hadn't I'd have suggested the New York Post tour, which promises "two-hour sojourns from Midtown Manhattan to the Bowery that review celebrity mayhem and criminal mischief for a ticket price of $49." TMZ has been running a similar bus in Los Angeles for a while now. Anyone ever climb aboard? Read HERE.
In just over two and a half hours, you’ll become experts in the tawdry bits that make NYC the undisputed quirky capital of the world. The Post Headline Tour is offered every Thursday at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on the corner of 57th Street and 7th Avenue. We warn you, this tour is not for the squeamish or faint of heart. It’s the real New York, New York Post style!
Bryce Harper's Magic Underpants
The Washington Nationals outfielder and Las Vegas Mormon was #10 on the "hottest cubs" list -- and now we know why.
Summer of '68
Blondie is about to start their European tour -- of course -- and Debbie is featured in "The Age Issue" of Fabulous Magazine! The legend turns 68 on July 1.
Surprisingly -- or not, given it's Europe where women are allowed to age -- Spanish Vogue actually captured Deb looking more realistically. More HERE.

Song of the Day: 'Promised You a Miracle' by Simple Minds
Kind of a shame that Simple Minds are best known for their "Breakfast Club" song seeing as they released one of the decade's best singles, "Promised You a Miracle," off their 1982 album, "New Gold Dream (81–82–83–84)."

Doggy Style
Pictures reveal Maryland teacher having sex with dog: cops
Apparently you can teach an old dog a new trick. Let's just hope the pooch wasn't also a student of hers. Read HERE.
Here's the Beef
Super hot, but I think I liked Joe Manganiello better before he told Men's Health Arnold Schwarzenegger was a "hero" to him. Read HERE.

RIP: Rona Newton-John
Rona was Prudence to Olivia's Mia
Sad to hear about the passing of Olivia Newton-John's older sister, Rona. who was recently diagnosed with brain cancer. Rona was a frequent guest star on television shows in the '60s and early '70s, then began a relationship with her sister's "Grease" costar Jeff Conaway after meeting at a party at producer Allan Carr's house in 1978. (She and Jeff were married from 1980-85.) She later remarried and started a family. RIP..
Olivia told People::
"Rona died of a very aggressive brain tumor and mercifully suffered no pain. She was surrounded by the love of her four children – Fiona, Brett, Tottie and Emerson, and her wonderful friends. I will miss her forever – my beautiful, smart, talented, funny, brave sister Rona."
Weather We Like It or Not
It's 55 and raining in Paris, but 90 and 100 percent humidity here in New York City. Not sure which is worse, but at least my Nole finally got through his second-round match, beating Argentina's Guido Pella, 6-2, 6-0, 6-2.
Song of the Day: 'Suspicion of Love' by Chris Isaak
One of his best songs, buried on the "Married to the Mob" soundtrack, a film in which he even made a cameo as a killer clown!

BOOK TRAILER: 'Love, Dishonor, Marry, Die, Cherish, Perish' by David Rakoff
Here's a preview of David Rakoff's final work, the rhyming novel "Love, Dishonor, Marry, Die, Cherish,
Perish":
From the incomparable David Rakoff comes a poignant, beautiful, witty and wise novel in verse that spans the 20th Century.
Life After 'Twilight'
I've never read or seen "Twilight" and I don't know who Michael Welch is, but I think it's cool that he went from starring in a blockbuster series of films to an indie about a transgender romance. Read what the actor has to say about "Boy Meets Girl" and more HERE.
Trouble Brewing Down Under
