RIP: Rona Newton-John

Rona was Prudence to Olivia's Mia

Sad to hear about the passing of Olivia Newton-John's older sister, Rona. who was recently diagnosed with brain cancer. Rona was a frequent guest star on television shows in the '60s and early '70s, then began a relationship with her sister's "Grease" costar Jeff Conaway after meeting at a party at producer Allan Carr's house in 1978. (She and Jeff were married from 1980-85.) She later remarried and started a family. RIP..

Olivia told People::

"Rona died of a very aggressive brain tumor and mercifully suffered no pain. She was surrounded by the love of her four children – Fiona, Brett, Tottie and Emerson, and her wonderful friends. I will miss her forever – my beautiful, smart, talented, funny, brave sister Rona."

It's 55 and raining in Paris, but 90 and 100 percent humidity here in New York City. Not sure which is worse, but at least my Nole finally got through his second-round match, beating Argentina's Guido Pella, 6-2, 6-0, 6-2.
