The Detroit Lions snatched up the Ohio State alum who "oozes leadership" in the 16th overall pick at the NFL Draft. See a lot more of the tattooed love boy HERE.
Christina Tosi's Milk Bar Coming to Chelsea
I'm not exactly sure what "cereal milk soft serve" or many of the other items on the menu are, but I know they sound like trouble. No matter -- as my brother put it, the new business is "slightly better than Chase Duane Reade Glamour Nail"! Read HERE.

Song of the Day: 'Could It Be Magic' by Barry Manilow
If you had told me "Could It Be Magic" hit No. 6 and No. 52 on the Billboard charts back in the 1970s, I'd have bet a million dollars Donna Summer's was the bigger of the two. I'd be in debt right now.
Page 1 Roundup (04/29)
Will Ferrell wisely pulled out of this today.
The New York Times' scathing review of "Mother's Day" almost makes me want to see it!

The Advocate on Why Black Pride Matters
The Advocate eases its way into the season with a look at why black pride matters:
For its June/July 2016 cover story, The Advocate’s Les Fabian Brathwaite explores the intricate intersection of race and LGBT identity and how a community within a community uses their collective voices through celebration to create a support system, awareness, and acceptance. The Advocate’s cover story, “Black Pride: A Celebration,” takes a closer look at Black Pride festivals and how these events foster a collective voice of power for communities that face even greater amounts of racism, homophobia, transphobia, and/or sexism.Read HERE.
Teed Off
People are furious about this "No Fats, No Fems" T-shirt that Mic says "reveals a sad truth about the gay community." I'm more curious about finding out if it says "No Asians" on the back. Read HERE.
Frankly, I think the gay community has the same problem as every other community: People are nicer to people they want to f**k than they are to people they don't. It ain't always nice, but it's just the way it is. And while wearing this shirt would obviously make you a bit of an asshole, its origin from hookup sites doesn't really bother me. Online sex is like ordering food -- you list off EXACTLY what you're in the mood for. And you know what? I'd be rich if I had a dime for every fat or fem who didn't want to bed one himself.
Mug Shot Thursday
Sexy man has bad taste in women and politics -- and I love "conservative chemists"!
The Daily News writes:
A Republican fund-raiser and her boyfriend have been arrested after police found a meth lab and stores of other drugs at their Arizona home. Emily Pitha, 34, and Christopher Hustrulid, 36, were taken into custody Tuesday after authorities searching the Phoenix home discovered methamphetamine, LSD and heroin. They also found thousands of dollars worth of U.S., European and fake currency, according to AZ Family. The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office said they were tipped off that the conservative chemists were to receive a package from the Netherlands with 250 grams of pure MDMA, enough for thousands of doses. Pitha was a longtime staffer for Republican Arizona senator Jon Kyl, and her LinkedIn page says that after his retirement in 2013 she worked for Sen. Jeff Flake. More recently she worked as an independent consultant for LovasCo, and the Arizona Republic reported that she was listed as the RSVP contact for fund-raisers supporting the re-election campaign of her state’s senior senator, John McCain.
'Gender' Studies
The Washington Post examines why Merriam-Webster added "cisgender," "genderqueer" and "Mx." [eyeroll] to the dictionary. "The new entries and senses offer a kind of snapshot of how exactly our language expands," said one dictionary editor. Read HERE.
There's a Sucker Punched Every Minute
I feel bad for this guy but I can't imagine a jury would convict the attacker whose heart was clearly in the right place:
Crime Watch Daily reports:
A 26-year-old man was punched in the face for looking like celebrity actor Shia LaBeouf. Police said the incident happened on the stairwell of Delancey Avenue Station around 8:30 p.m. Saturday. Mario Licato was on his way to meet friends at Pianos bar nearby, but a man in his 20s stopped him and threw a punch, police said. The man allegedly said ” this is because you look like Shia LaBeouf” before running away, according to the NYPD.
Song of the Day: 'A Case of You' by Prince
Download HERE.
Hard to believe Prince would go before Joni Mitchell, to whom he paid his respects on a 2007 tribute album.
