P.S. Apparently the "good fishing" was the event's only, um, lure. According to Gazzetta, Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz each earned a $1.2 million appearance fee for playing Doha. For context: The tournament winner will take home $529,945. The runner-up will take $285,095.
