Hot Cat of the Day: It's easy for me to remember the day I officially went out on my own -- became an adult? -- because I left Phoenix for Los Angeles on May 5, 1990. My heart was broken in 17 places and job prospects in Arizona were grim, so I packed up my VW Rabbit and crashed with my friend Mark until I could get a place of my own. A job at the Orange County Register came quickly. But my desire to live in New York City prevented me from ever feeling truly at home, so three years later I headed East -- first to Washington and then finally to Manhattan -- and have been at home ever since.
Cut a Bitch: If you're in the New York area, you won't want to miss Alison Arngrim's hilarious "Confessions of a Prairie Bitch," coming this Sunday to the Cutting Room. I caught it some 15 years ago and thought it was one of the funniest shows I've ever seen! Tickets HERE.
Picture This: Michael Des Barres shared this photo from legendary music producer Mike Chapman's recent wedding, with the caption:
Clearly in the presence of the brilliant Debbie Harry is rock ‘n’ roll at its finest. We were both at Mike Chapman and his beautiful wife Maddy‘s wedding party in London a few weeks ago. It was lovely to see London again and to be in the presence of two people who love each other…
Accompanying the wonderful Deborah Harry to Mike and Maddy Chapman's wedding at St. James Palace chapel this weekend.
Debbie famously referred to Chapman in a 1999 interview as being a "dictator"(!).
