Weekend Tennis Roundup

Damian and I got to see nearly all my favorite second-tier hunks at the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center over the weekend. (More about that TK.) In the meantime, things are crazy in both the men's and women's draws, with multiple people in a strong position to win their first-ever major title. Frances Tiafoe surprised me by finishing off Rafael Nadal, who hasn't fully rebounded from his latest injury. As relieved as I am that the record books won't be more out of whack because of Novak Djokovic's refusal to get vaccinated, now I'm fearful that this could be just the opening needed by Nick Kyrgios, whose antics grow on my nerves by the minute. For me, I'd be happiest with Matteo Berrettini winning but realize Carlos is the better bet, which I would also be happy with. Until then, enjoy what I've collected over the past week BELOW.

How do I become a towel boy for Pedro and Bernabé?

Second-round loser Cristian Garin sure likes to hang out with the boys

Cam practiced with Martin Landaluce and then used it against Holger Rune

Cabal-Farah took out Venus-Putz and will now face Glasspool-Heliövaara, who surprised Kyrgios-Kokkinakis earlier today

That's not all he deserves after that win!

Damian wasn't happy to see Rafa lose. But he was pleased to see the win got the high-beams on in Tiafoe's box

And speaking of unknown hot men in boxes ...

Did you get a load of the guy in Coco Gauff's cheering section?!

Everyone was excited to see Ireland's Mark Bowtell ...

The former college player now works at the John McEnroe Academy on Randall's Island, having recovered from Guillain-Barre syndrome, also known as Landry’s paralysis.

Dressed to impress: Samuel Ribeiro, Jose Maria Gómez Álvarez and Bernabé Zapata🇪🇸

Photo of the tournament: Hard to believe someone as fit as Jack Draper would have to retire from a match ... especially against Karen Khachanov

Kramies lost in the second round after destroying our chances of seeing Marcos Giron in action

As predicted, Dominic Thiem had plenty of time to be a tourist

Roberto Carballes Baena moves in on my boyfriend Pedro

The boys look like they had a good time at the Challenger event at the Rafael Nadal Academy in Mallorca ...

Where 19-year-old Luca Nardi claims his third #ATPChallenger title of the year with a 7-6(2), 3-6, 7-5 win over Zizou Bergs

And last but not least: I won't miss the endless drama -- frequently from her sycophants. But that was one hell of a career!

Serena sendoff: I only have eyes for Jabeur's hubby
