All sorts of once famous (and notorious) people wind up working in real estate -- Haviland Morris of "Sixteen Candles," Tony "Heartbeat" DeFranco and sugar-daddy aficionado Brett Jordan come to mind. But I can't think of one I'd rather chat up more than the inspiration behind The Knack's enduring New Wave hit!
It seems 26-year-old singer Doug Fieger had a thing for 17-year-old Sharona Alperin -- not unlike my parents' inappropriate relationship in the late 1950s -- and although he eventually got her to go out with him for a while, it still sounds, well, inappropriate, albeit in more of a Jerry Seinfeld/Shoshanna Lonstein kind of way.
