The Cover Girls did a nice version. And Paul Weller's gender flip was perfect. But there's no substitute for the classic original.

The original Rose Royce version of this song is the ultimate but also check out Will Downing's version which is really popular on the Quiet Storm radio formats and I also like Beyonce's rendition also.
For many years this song by Rose Royce was played on KISS 108 FM in Boston every Saturday at 12PM and to this day when I hear the song I always think it is Noon time on Saturday. Love this song.
