I read there was a career bloodbath in the newsroom today. My condolences to those who lost their jobs.
The Times is right -- Carly Fiorina did offer the GOP a path to reaching women. Then she had to blow it by not only maintaining the status quo on women's issues, she one-upped her male peers by COMPLETELY FABRICATING having seen Planned Parenthood videos of a fetus moving around on a table, all so she could pander to the base and not seem "weak." When confronted with her lie, she proved she really is a die-hard Republican ... by doubling down. I'd probably still take her over the rest of the lot -- we'd finally have our first female president, which would be huge --, but it's such a lost opportunity for a woman to act just like the (horrible) men. (And did you read about Mrs. Iran Hawk's past dealing with ... Iran?)
