Meant to mention Michael Musto's short and sweet piece about Linda Simpson (left), who took photos of New York City's drag scene in the days before "RuPaul's Drag Race" made it seem mainstream. Anyone who knows me is aware of the fact that I cannot bear to be around a drag queen -- their "jump on your weakness POV" reminds me too much of my mother -- but I will say Linda is without question my favorite of the genre. Although sharp-tongued, her wit and intelligence take things to a level that even I cannot resist!
