Blaise of Glory

It's Kickstarter time -- and how could you say no to a face like this?

Here's the pitch, ffom a release:
Two faces familiar on network television headline the upcoming independent feature “The Dark Place,” a mystery-thriller set to shoot in April near Portland, Ore., the film’s producers announced today. Blaise Embry (above), whose credits include Showtime’s “Weeds” and the Disney Channel’s “Suite Life On Deck,” will play the film’s lead. Also cast was Eduardo Rioseco, a recurring player on NBC’s hit family drama, “Parenthood.” Embry will play Keegan Dark, a troubled young man with an uncanny mental ability who returns to his family’s wine estate to make peace with his estranged mother. Instead, he and his boyfriend find a harrowing conspiracy that casts him as his mother’s killer. The film, set to begin shooting April 19 in Hillsboro, Ore., is the second feature from Blue Seraph productions, including director J.T. Tepnapa and the creative team behind 2011’s critically acclaimed film festival favorite, “Judas Kiss.”
