VICE Meets ... Debbie Harry

At the "old age" of 35, VICE Music Editor Kelly McClure clearly is an after-the-fact Blondie fan. Still, you can't help but appreciate her nervous "Chris Farley Show" quality as she interviews the great Debbie Harry at the Bowery Hotel, where she actually gets in a few good questions. In addition to a spin on the usual "Rapture" inquiry, she also finds out what Debbie finds funny, how old Debbie was when she first began to worry about the aging process, the scoop on some upcoming solo shows of rarely performed material, and best of all, asks Deb about her role as the sadomasochistic radio host Nicki Brand in Cronenberg's "Videodrome," which Deb now realizes was a "virtual" character.
