Song of the Day: 'You Could Make a Killing' by Aimee Mann

"Cruel Intentions" was on Lifetime last night, so of course I starting watching. (Don't make fun, there was a rain delay at the U.S. Open.) I loved the film when it came out -- Ryan Phillippe in various states of undress, what's not to like? -- but seeing it through maturer eyes definitely confirmed my belief that Ryan is the worst actor in the history of cinema, something I guess I knew all along. Aimee Mann's music popped up on a lot of soundtracks in the 1990s -- she received an Oscar nomination for "Magnolia" in 1999 -- but it was her great "You Could Make a Living" that was used to great effect throughout this teenage twist on "Dangerous Liaisons."

I loved this movie too when it came out. I had it DVD and it made the transfer to digital. Super sexy... I still dream about Ryan's bare ass. Damn! His acting is atrocious, but the soundtrack is awesome.
