Make Me Laugh, Bitch


The New York Times profiles the plethora of gay comedians out there, each waiting for their moment in the spotlight. While some have had success -- Mario Cantone and Billy Eichner come to mind  -- no one has even come close to becoming the male equivalent of Ellen DeGeneres, Rosie O'Donnell or even Wanda Sykes. My pal Dave Rubin has a theory: “With gays, we still don’t have the first guy Television likes their gay people as sidekicks on the Bravo network or as fashion experts. I’m just not sure how far we’ve come from one of my favorite Homer Simpson lines: ‘Marge, I like my TV loud, my beer cold and my homosexuals flaming!’" Read HERE.

Would Daniel Tosh count as a gay man's comedian? He has everything in my opinion except he's not out of the closet yet. What do you think?
