Cookie Monster

While I've recently started to enjoy ice cream for the first time in my life, for the most part my only major weakness in life has been cookies. Pies, cakes and pastries never really excited me, but put a batch (or box or bag) of chocolate chip or peanut butter -- or peanut butter chocolate chip -- cookies in front of me, and watch them disappear. So when my friend Frank suggested we go to this place he likes over on Cherry Lane in the West Village -- "Cookies & Milk," as he called it -- I was in no position to say no. (Clearly the fact that he'd just had a chocolate macaroon at Corrado Bakery wasn't deterring him, either.) It turns out it's called Milk & Cookies, but after having one of their peanut butter chocolate numbers -- Frank had the same, although we should have divided and conquered a chocolate chip or sugar -- it was easy to see why he put the "cookies" before the milk. (Although to be honest, the decadent whole milk we split was pretty incredible, too.) They also have brownies, bars and their own cookie mix, and they even deliver. But the place is so cute and intimate -- and smells so good -- you'll definitely want to sit down and savor the sweet. More info HERE.

Sounds delicious! Definitely will have to check it out on my next trip to NYC. I, too, Kenneth have a cookie obsession. I blame my mom always baking when I was growing up. Unfortunately, I don't like chocolate, so that limits me a little bit, but anything sweet and sugary is good for me.
