Cheap Date

Some fun news for theater lovers: Tuesday, November 8th is BOYS NIGHT at "Standing on Ceremony: The Gay Marriage Plays." (A recent KIT212 advertiser.) For 49 bucks, you get a ticket to the show (regularly $79) plus admission to a pre-show LGBT reception and a complimentary (other than the fact that you paid 49 bucks) drink!

Tony Award nominee Craig Bierko ("The Music Man"), Daytime Emmy nominee Mark Consuelos ("All My Children"), Emmy Award nominee Polly Draper ("thirtysomething") and Tony Award winner Harriet Harris ("Thoroughly Modern Millie") will be part of the premiere cast of off-Broadway's "Standing On Ceremony: The Gay Marriage Plays." Directed by Stuart Ross, the show brings together some of America's most illustrious and Award-winning playwrights, including Mo Gaffney, Jordan Harrison, Jeffrey Hatcher, Moisés Kaufman, Neil LaBute, Wendy MacLeod, José Rivera, Paul Rudnick and Doug Wright, for a heartfelt, funny and altogether illuminating evening of short plays that celebrates the courage to be in a relationship -- any relationship.
