This caught my eye at the checkout last night: While I don't believe Cher had a "shocking breakdown" over Chaz, I'm quite confident she will when she sees this heinous photo the National Enquirer printed on its cover. (Isn't that
exactly how a drag queen would pose if she were "doing" Cher?!) Even so, pretty amazing she's still cover-worthy after all these years. Has Madonna been a lead story on the supermarket staple lately? (I only wish I had
a friend who might know the answer to that!) Whitney still gets covers (for all the wrong reasons) and I think Liza still gets some (inside) ink. But Miss Ross probably hasn't been out front since her DUI in the Blockbuster Video parking lot in Tucson -- back when Blockbusters still
existed. Your comeback movie was a bit of a bust, Ms. Sarkisian, but you got "it."

That's not Cher. That's Pete Burns.
For somebody who started out as a backup singer at age 17 for Phil Spector and still holds the public's interest at 65, I'd say Cher's doing just fine.
