Choi to the World

Thanks to the historic series of ruling by a federal judge in California, Virginia A. Phillips, the U.S. military -- for the first time ever -- is now allowing its recruiters to accept openly gay and lesbian applicants. (For how long, however, is anyone's guess.) Bravo to Dan Choi, who marched over to the Armed Forces Recruiting Station in Times Square, to prove that even a wishy-washy president can't keep a good man down.
