Schmear Campaign

New York City Councilman Larry Seabrook was smacked with a massive federal indictment yesterday for allegedly trying to bilk the city out of $2.5 million by using an elaborate network of shady community groups to funnel cash to himself, family and pals. The media is especially indignant about a $177 receipt for a bagel sandwich and a diet drink that the Democrat submitted for reimbursement, but I'm not so sure they're right about this one. If Seabrook eats at Murray's then taxpayers are lucky it wasn't more -- you should see how much it would have been with cheese!
