The Great Outdoors

Spent a fun afternoon yesterday someplace I rarely go -- in the sun, with fellow blogger Marcus, first playing tennis on the fab Hudson River Park courts and then hanging out on the Christopher Street pier. As steamy as it was on-court, however, it was even hotter on the "waiting bench" beforehand, where I spotted sexy boy-about-town Brian Kenny jogging shirtless, plus these two handsome guys (below) in line before us wearing matching his-and-his athletic wear. Marcus thinks the guy on the right played Marcus, Stanford's boyfriend on "Sex and the City" ("a Broadway-caliber dancer"), but I wasn't sure. I could only think of the underwear model Derek (aka The Bone), Mr. Blatch's true love and only client. Whatever the case, it only added to our picture-perfect day. Highlights below, all photos by Marcus.

The score was love and love.
After hitting some balls, we stopped for a little blogger-on-blogger photo action ...

The Empire State Building holds her own against the three glass towers along the Westside Highway. No. 1 houses Jean-George's (in-my-opinion) overrated Perry Street restaurant. And the top three floors of the center building are Calvin's house, as in Klein.

The new Standard Hotel ...

The beer garden at the Standard was hopping ...

But the restaurant completely charmed the quarter-socks off of me. (Dinner there tonight!)

My old hood! So glad to see it's still a great place to hang out and play.
