Trompe-l'oeil

In the new issue of Out, my friend and artist Scooter LaForge pays furry tribute to the mag's 1999 cover story on gay-for-pay actors Christian Campbell and J.P. Pitoc, who turned in one convincing performance in Jim Fall's near-classic film "Trick."

Trick was fabulous! LOVE IT! How come there is no part two? I want to know the relationship develop after that final scene. =)

Wow. I thought "Trick" was a moronic, poorly acted monstrosity, with Tori Spelling cementing her status as the world's worst actress.

I never could understand the gay community's adoration.

All opinion, I guess!

I always liked this movie. What's wrong with sometimes having a slighty sweet, campy, and sappy movie movie ? Not all movies HAVE to be serious. And as for Ms. Spelling, it was perfect casting.. bad actress playing a bad actress. The only question is was she REALLY acting ?

Co Co Peru, makes trick memorable, she is on fire in the bathroom scene, could a drag queen be more true/fierce/mesmerizing in a performance.... we still quote her,,,, cuz you know “it burns!!”...

This became one of my favorite movies. I own a copy of it and play it every so often. It never disappoints me. I just hope with a remake that they get guys just as cute as these two were. Knowing how they do the casting today, I don't hold out much hope for it, so I'll probably just have to be content with the original.
