  • Equality Now: A new advocacy group has been created to promote fair treatment for LGBT residents in West Virginia. The organizers say Fairness West Virginia’s mission is "to ensure gay people are treated safely and fairly in their homes, at work and in their communities." This is great -- and long overdue -- news. I know the late John Wilson would be proud. For more information, please click HERE.

  • Oh, Henrie! Watch your abs back, Zac Efron. There's a new 'tween in town. (PopWrap)

  • Hot Cross Buns: Queen of the cute chubby chicks Rachael Ray had "Queer Eye" hottie Kyan Douglas on her show to teach her audience about "manshapers." Naturally, the faux bubble butt was my fave -- and is apparently Kyan's, too. (RR)
  • Coulter v. Maher: Is this completely necessary? (NYT)

  • 'Wife' Beater: While I certainly do not condone domestic violence of any kind, someone needed to tell Nick Stefanov to cool it with the Urban Outfitters T-shirts. Who better than his now-ex-fiancee, "Real Housewives of New York City" cast member Kelly Bensimon? (NYP)

  • AC369: Did Andy Cooper have a gay ole time on his Savannah getaway? What do you think ... (Gawker)

  • Mood Swings: A New York City police officer's credibility is being challenged in court because of his MySpace "mood." Um, what about those pictures?!!! (NYT)
  • Thin Skinned Eagles: Speaking of Social Networking, a Facebook post "criticizing" his employer, the Philadelphia Eagles, cost a stadium operations worker his job. His termination-worthy offense? He complained about the team's failure to re-sign safety Brian Dawkins. (Philly.com)

  • Blood Bath & Beyond: A crazed gunman in Alabama killed 10 before turning his gun on himself. Greg and I are lucky we got out of there alive! (NYT)

  • Miracles of Modern Medicine: Cutie Heather McNamara, 7, was discharged from a New York hospital Tuesday after a daring, high-risk operation last month in which doctors removed six vital organs so they could take out a baseball-sized tumor that had invaded her abdomen and threatened her life. (Three of them were too diseased but doctors have figured out workarounds for the youngster to live without them.) Heather said she's feeling fine and can't wait to get home. She's missing her sister, Stephanie, 10, and a Pomeranian named Angel. "I love to play with my dog," she said. (USA Today)
  • McShitty's: Bill Barich’s examines the lost art of the good Irish pub. (NYT)

You want a good Irish pub? Ottawa is jam-packed with them! I could think of 10 in a split second, and I'd be hard-pressed to pick a favourite! Ottawa knows how to get things done.
