Video: McCain's Mansions

Two unions have banded together to help distribute and publicize this new online video that characterizes Sen. John McCain as elitist and out of touch. The four-minute clip is called “McCain’s Mansions: The Real Elitist” and showcases various McCain homes and condominiums in Arizona, California and Virginia, with one valued at $4.66 million. While highlighting the wealth of McCain and his wife, Cindy -- including a cable news clip poking fun at McCain’s $520 calfskin loafers made by Salvatore Ferragamo, and Cindy's casual reference to buying a private jet that sounds like she's talking about picking up a loaf of bread at the corner -- the video also focuses on the tale of Eileen Gillis, described as a systems engineer and sales clerk whose house in Connecticut was foreclosed upon.

Alex Conant, a spokesman for the Republican National Committee, responded, "Considering Barack Obama lives in a multimillion-dollar house bought with the help of his buddy, Tony Rezko, who is now a convicted felon, it’s odd that Obama’s supporters would choose to make the candidates’ homes an issue." Obviously these people don't get that elitism is more about how you act than how rich you are.

They should talk to Jesse Jackson on why Obama is the elitist one and continues to "talk down to blacks."

I wish they had mixed in a variety of folks suffering from foreclosures while showing the ten homes, perhaps ten people who could use the ten homes!
