Here's the first look at Madonna's free Thank-You showcase last night here in the Big Apple at Roseland Ballroom. I love when she plays the guitar (sooooo Chrissie Hynde!). I wonder if she sang live (that one's for you, Elton). She sure looks like she's having a good time -- and isn't that what it's all about?

I was there and yes, she did sing live with some added backing vocals on some tracks. She did screw up at one point during a rocked-out version of "Hung Up" and got out of time with the band but quickly recovered. It was amazing to see her in such a small venue. Great energy from the crowd. And an appearance by Justin Timberlake as the icing on the cake...
