Morning Wood

Am I mistaken, of did my ex-hubby Dominic Figlio get even more ripped than before?

Dutch Treat

If you weren't thinking of watching the upcoming season of "Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency," you might want to think again. It's no secret that Janice is a little daffy, but she's one broad who knows a hot man when she sees one -- and this season is no exception. Meet her latest find, this, a 23-year-old personal trainer and martial arts enthusiast whom I predict will be the breakout star of season three. "JDMA" returns to Oxygen on Aug. 26.

And lest you worry, Janice's greatest discovery to date -- Dominic Figlio -- is back from New York for another season of modeling hijinks ...

Lucky Bitch Alert!

Look who my pal Jim Key (of L.A. Gay and Lesbian Center fame) ran into at the Instinct magazine party at the Standard Hotel -- my dream man, model Dominic Figlio! To make matters worse, Jim -- who's not exactly undreamy himself, reports, "He was the sweetest guy in the world!" Woof!

Thursday Ad Watch

Dominic Figlio makes me weak (again) for 2(x)ist, above; former Giants star (and current Oakland safety) Gibril Wilson sure cleans up nicely, in Eredi Pisano; whatever Jack Victor is selling, I'm buying ...
This Tom Ford eyewear ad is hot, minus the foot; That said, it might have worked if it'd been this Dolce & Gabbana's guy's (is that Perry from "Make Me a Supermodel," btw?)
K-Swiss has done a beautiful job of using Tommy Haas in its ads. Keep 'em coming ...
Nordstrom shows off its Rock & Republic look, while Bloomingdale's goes with a classic all-American guy in a Hugo suit ...

And last, but certainly not least, the Brazilian government wants you to "do whatever you want, just do it with a condom."

The Figlio Special

How I love Dominic Figlio, let me count the ways ... see more examples of why I think he is without question the hottest man I've ever blogged about here.

Page 1 Consider (01/22)

  • Dom, Dah Dom Dom: I hear "Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency" hunk Dominic Figlio is just an extra in the new gay surfer film "Shelter," but you'd think he was one of its principals based on all of these promotional photos of the 2(x)ist stud. Excellent marketing, guys! (OhLaLa)

  • Bush Wishes: I like the idea of Oliver Stone making a film about President Bush. But Josh Brolin as the Poor Little Rich Boy? Now that's an assault on Democracy. (CNN)

  • Thin-Skinned Combover Man for President: If you aren't from New York then you may not know just how devil our former mayor Rudy Giuliani truly is. Do something he doesn't like and you'll pay for it, like have his police spokeswoman tell the press you had been "convicted of sodomy" or that you "had ladled millions of dollars to supporters of the former mayor" and "destroyed Department of Youth Services records and hard drives and stolen computers in an apparent effort to obscure what had happened to that money" -- both fabricated out of thin air. (NYT)

  • Check Cashing Fraud: Always a class act, N.Y. Post columnist Andrea Peyser ought to be ashamed of herself for this one. (NYT)

  • RIP: It's been a bad week for '70s sitcom legends. First Suzanne and now Allan Melvin has died at 84. What a character actor he was -- Gomer Pyle's Sgt. Hacker and Archie Bunker's Barney and Alice's main squeeze, Sam the Butcher, on "The Brady Bunch," plus work on "The Dick Van Dyke Show," "The Phil Silvers Show" and playing Al the Plumber in the Liquid-Plumr ads for 15 years. He will be missed. (LAT)

    Dominic Figlio, On the Rocks

One of the highlights of last night's Instinct magazine party was meeting 2(x)ist creative director Jason Scarlatti. He's as sweet and adorable as he is on "The Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency," and what's even better is he's a fan of kenneth in the (212)! Michael and I told him how much we lust love the 2(x)ist campaign featuring Dominic Figlio so Jason was kind enough to hook me up with these photos he took of the Orange County hunk on Catalina Island last year (I don't know about you, but I've never had any "snapshots" on my camera that ever looked like these -- woof!). It was a pleasure meeting you, Jason -- flashing his trademark smile alongside the world's first supermodel herself, below -- and we look forward to seeing you again soon! Related:

    Thursday Ad Watch

Is that my boy Dominic Figlio looking sexy for 2(x)ist again? Not that a cool drink from AussieBum wouldn't hit the spot, too ...

    Janice's Boys

"Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency" stars JP Calderon, above, and Dominic Figlio made their mama proud during Fashion Week at the 2(x)ist underwear show in Manhattan.

    Dominic Figlio Takes Manhattan!

Have you noticed that you can't walk 20 feet around the city without running into one of "Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency" hunk Dominic Figlio's 2(x)ist underwear ads? I am not complaining ...

    2(x)ist or Not 2(x)ist?

I never got around to blogging the season finale of "The Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency" (I might have been too devastated to see it end to even begin to write about it), but let it suffice to say that Janice turned the AussieBum debacle into a full-fledged success by landing seven of her hottest models in a new ad campaign for 2(x)ist Underwear's new Varsity line. The shoot was done on beautiful Catalina Island (the highlight was when T.J. Wilk told Brian Kehoe that the outfit he was wearing made him look like Angela Lansbury in "Murder, She Wrote" -- and that he was a bit "bloated"), and Universal Gear is currently running an ad from the campaign. Several of Janice's modeling then were prominently featured in the 2(x)ist show at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Wee, including (212) faves Dominic Figlio and J.P. Calderon (below).

There's a two-minute video from the show here, and a complete photo wrap-up of the 2(x)ist underwear shoot is after the jump. --->

    JDMA, In Brief(s)

SPOILER ALERT! OK, I know I'm a day behind on "Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency" (I save it on DVR to watch with Michael on my days off, Wednesday/Thursday), so let's get going here.

First up, Orange County hotass Dominic Figlio was back for the second casting for AussieBum underwear (really hard to figure out why, huh?). For some reason I remembered him being blonder and European last week, but his hair seemed darker and he's definitely all-American. Naturally, the scary-looking queen from Down Under isn't blind and picked him for the final cut.

Brian Kehoe (aka "Kehoe") is really starting to grow on me. He's not the best-looking guy in the bunch, but there's something really sexy about him. He got picked as did everyone's favorite Superstar in the Making himself, T.J. Wilk.
J.P. Calderon and former "Manhunt" contestant Maurice Townsell and also made the cut. (I love how T.J. is looking at J.P. with this indignant "bitch, are your abs getting more ripped than mine?" look on his face.)
After the field was narrowed down, everyone made it over to Quixote Studios for the AussieBum test shoot when suddenly Mr. AussieBum abruptly shitcanned Janice after hearing some of the catty things she'd said about him behind his back (which happened to be caught on tape by AussieBum's own camera crew). The fur really started flying -- Janice truly looked stunned by the reversal of fortune -- and all the guys were really disappointed to have lost out on the chance for such a huge campaign. Although Janice, as is ususally the case, was mostly to blame for putting the agency in such a precarious position, she did manage to save the day by using the free studio time to take some of the most smokin' pictures I've ever seen of her models, particularly of Dominic and T.J. She then shipped them off to her contact at 2(x)ist -- with whom her agency has worked before -- and the next thing they knew the boys were on their way to Catalina Island for a big ad campaign. Although the show ended right when they got to the island, they were there long enough for these messy fat chicks to show up looking for some action, a moment that has to be seen to be believed. Next week's the finale ... what will I do without my Janice fix?

    The Hunt for Fresh Meat

Just when I thought this show couldn't possibly get any trashier better, this week's "Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency" featured an open audition for AussieBum underwear models at my favorite West Hollywood haunt, The Abbey. (How come nothing like this ever happens when I'm there?!) All of the usual suspects were running around in their tighty-nonwhities, including J.P. Calderon and T.J. Wilk. Janice even called Sorin Mihalache back in for the audition, although I didn't notice sexy Abbey bartender Luciano anywhere around. Most of the excitement, however, centered around a hot newcomer named Dominic Figlio ("My future husband," Janice quickly predicted).

When I lived in WeHo, The Abbey was just a modest coffee joint across the street from its current locale (in the place I believe has long since been home to a Brazilian restaurant). This landmark gay bar/restaurant sure has grown up a lot since those days, but then again, Studio One isn't exactly across the street now either, is it?

Lots more photos, including some best viewed at home, after the jump. --->
