Page 1 Consider (01/22)

  • Dom, Dah Dom Dom: I hear "Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency" hunk Dominic Figlio is just an extra in the new gay surfer film "Shelter," but you'd think he was one of its principals based on all of these promotional photos of the 2(x)ist stud. Excellent marketing, guys! (OhLaLa)

  • Bush Wishes: I like the idea of Oliver Stone making a film about President Bush. But Josh Brolin as the Poor Little Rich Boy? Now that's an assault on Democracy. (CNN)

  • Thin-Skinned Combover Man for President: If you aren't from New York then you may not know just how devil our former mayor Rudy Giuliani truly is. Do something he doesn't like and you'll pay for it, like have his police spokeswoman tell the press you had been "convicted of sodomy" or that you "had ladled millions of dollars to supporters of the former mayor" and "destroyed Department of Youth Services records and hard drives and stolen computers in an apparent effort to obscure what had happened to that money" -- both fabricated out of thin air. (NYT)

  • Check Cashing Fraud: Always a class act, N.Y. Post columnist Andrea Peyser ought to be ashamed of herself for this one. (NYT)

  • RIP: It's been a bad week for '70s sitcom legends. First Suzanne and now Allan Melvin has died at 84. What a character actor he was -- Gomer Pyle's Sgt. Hacker and Archie Bunker's Barney and Alice's main squeeze, Sam the Butcher, on "The Brady Bunch," plus work on "The Dick Van Dyke Show," "The Phil Silvers Show" and playing Al the Plumber in the Liquid-Plumr ads for 15 years. He will be missed. (LAT)

Kevin, you're not from New York so...let me remind you again: Take everything printed in the NY Times with a grain of salt. They hate Giuliani worse than they hated the Duke lacrosse defendents.

Considering Josh Brolin is uber-Democrat Barbra Streisand's stepson, I agree that casting Josh as "W" is clashing the titans.
