Song of the Day: 'Thinking of You' by the Colourfield

How depressing to hear about the death of Terry Hall, who fronted several brilliant bands of my youth. I pledged allegiance to the singer/songwriter in a 2009 blog post featuring songs by The Specials, Fun Boy Three, the Colourfield, Bananarama and Vegas. As the inspiration for the Go-Go's hit "Our Lips Are Sealed," he will live on forever. But it's realizing he was just 63 that stings the most -- around the same age as nearly every person I idolized back then. (This is really happening.) RIP.

Read what the world of music -- including Jane Wiedlin, Elvis Costello, Belinda Carlisle, Boy George and the Specials -- are saying about the late great HERE.

You may recall Terry Hall invited a nascent Bananarama to sing backup on the Fun Boy Three single "It Ain't What You Do (It's the Way That You Do It)" back in 1982.
