Weekend Tennis Roundup

Stefanos Tsitsipas got his groove back in Monte Carlo, plus all the ATP mancandy that's fit to post BELOW.

Stefanos Tsitsipas successfully defended his Monte Carlo title on Sunday, dispatching Spaniard Alejandro Davidovich Fokina 6-3, 7-6(3) to capture his second ATP Masters 1000 crown.

It was the right result at a time when men's tennis has never been more unstable. Good for Davidovich Fokina for making good on his win over Novak Djokovic by going all the way to the final. And good for the Greek god for manhandling Alex Zverev in the semis, after narrowly escaping defeat at 4-0 in the third against Diego Schwartzman in the quarters. I've slowly been losing faith in Stefanos -- who will probably not be re-teaming with Thomas Enqvist given his results with the Swede on the Sunshine swing versus his reunion with Daddy in Monaco. But as was the case with Simona Halep when she kept losing, it would probably just take his winning a big one for me to forgive and fall in love all over again.

In doubles, Rajeev Ram and Joe Salisbury cemented their new status as the world’s top-ranked doubles pairing on Sunday with a pulsating 6-4, 3-6, 10-7 victory over Juan Sebastian Cabal and Robert Farah in the final
