Hard to believe the Go-Go's are celebrating their 40th anniversary this year. Here's a pre-"Beauty and the Beat" version of their insomnia anthem filmed at NYC's legendary Hurrah's (36 W. 62nd St.), plus a second take (below) at the Peppermint Lounge (128 W. 45th St.) -- after Kathy made the band complete -- shot the same month the album came out in 1981!

Speaking of Kathy, she's sure been in my thoughts since hearing about the passing of her father over the weekend. I think we know where she got so many of her wonderful characteristics. xo
