Jeffrey Tambor Accused of Harassment by Former Assistant

Deadline is reporting that Jeffrey Tambor has been accused of "implied inappropriate behavior" by Van Barnes, a transgender woman who was once his assistant. (I'm guessing that mean X-rated shadow-puppet shows or something?) The Emmy-winning star of "Transparent" calls the claims "baseless," but Amazon Studios is investigating them, fresh on the heels of their boss Roy Price's resignation over sexual harassment claims.

The investigation into Barnes's claims — made online in a private Facebook post — began earlier this week, according to Deadline.

“I am aware that a former disgruntled assistant of mine has made a private post implying that I had acted in an improper manner toward her,” Tambor told Deadline today. “I adamantly and vehemently reject and deny any and all implication and allegation that I have ever engaged in any improper behavior toward this person or any other person I have ever worked with. I am appalled and distressed by this baseless allegation.”

If true, I guess this means I still won't be able to count "The Ropers" among the best television shows of all time ...

"implied inappropriate behavior"- what does that mean?!

these vague accusations give the accusers the appearance they're vultures showing up to pick the remains of someone else's scandal, not victims, a.k.a. attempted money grab.

if i'm wrong, i will apologize, but i've never trusted obscure assertions made through social media.

I agree with northalabama- yes you can accuse me of victim blaming but a lot of these new accusations seem to be trying to ride Weinstein out rage bandwagon.
