The Final Four

Not exactly the marquee match-ups I was hoping for -- to paraphrase Donald Rumsfeld, you go to the semifinals with the players you have, not the players you wish you had -- but tomorrow's the big day nonetheless. Although my brother didn't get his dying wish at last year's Wimbledon, he did live to see Roger Federer win another major, when he finally defeated Rafael Nadal at the Australian Open in January -- so I'd probably say Marin Cilic is my preferred winner of the whole thing, followed by Tomas Berdych -- wouldn't that be something if he made good on the promise he once showed? -- then Roger (he's got enough) and then Sam Querrey, who kickstarted Novak Djokovic descent into darkness. Who are you rooting for?

After all my bitching about the women's game of late, now even their boxes are more entertaining -- as seen in Venus Williams's (above) -- anyone know who that moose is? -- and Johanna Konta's (below).

I hope he is winning 6-0, 6-0, 5-0,40-0 and a blimp falls on him and the other players wins by default. Not a fan. Sorry.

Why not Sam, the American? I Always root (route?) for the underdog (and the American). Plus, go Venus!!! I will be utterly depressed if she loses, no matter how well she or Garbine plays. She's a great person.
