Weekend Tennis Roundup

Busy weekend for tennis fans, but no news was bigger than Ryan Harrison -- once a great American hope whose light seemed to be fading fast -- winning his first tournament, defeating Nikoloz Basilashvili in straight sets to take home the trophy in Memphis. (He beat the U.S.'s other fading hope, Donald Young, in the semis.) Does this mean the Louisiana native may turn out to be more than a pretty face and a hot chest after all?

Jo-Wilfried Tsonga won his first title since 2015 as he came from behind to beat David Goffin 4-6, 6-4, 6-1 in Rotterdam on Sunday.

Unseeded Ukrainian Alexandr Dolgopolov upset Kei Nishikori 7-6(4), 6-4 to win the Argentina Open on Sunday, his first title in five years.

And Karolina Pliskova beat Caroline Wozniacki for the first time and won their Qatar Open final 6-3, 6-4 on Saturday.

While it is great for a player to win any tournament, Harrison's road to the title wasn't exactly a loaded draw. I think it's unlikely to see him turn himself around (though confidence after a tourney win surely can work wonders). And I don't find him attractive in any way, shape, or form (isn't his head shaped kind of weird?) Not trying to be negative, I just like to express my own preferences. I like pretty boys, like Lucas Pouille, Deliciano and Robredo.

FYI- the Djokovic brothers aren't bad either, but if you do a google image search for "Djokovic brothers", the very first pic... What are those things all around them on the couch? They are f---ing creepy as hell!

Very happy for Harrison and nice to see Tsonga win. I'm impressed by Goffin who seems to be playing in nearly every ATP tournament The Tennis Channel is broadcasting. He has a great game.
