Blondie Working on New Album for 2016

From HERE.

Call me a bad fan, but I'd be happy if they stopped. (I'm not sure I've ever sat all the way through "The Ghosts of Download," and am still trying to block out some tracks from "No Exit," "The Curse of Blondie" and "Panic of Girls.") But if recording new material is important to them, more power to 'em -- and working with Dave Stewart, Johnny Marr and Sia can't hurt!

i however DID sit through the entire 'Ghosts of the Download' a few times. Consider yourself lucky. I liked much of 'No Exit'. Less of the 'Curse of Blondie' and very little over ''Panic'. I hate to say it too, but I'd be ok if they stopped hitting the studio.

GHOSTS was horrifying; however there are some amazing tracks on NO EXIT & CURSE and a few on PANIC!

I'm not excited over a new album, but am willing to listen to it when it comes (though did not listen to Ghosts, which I thought was pretty much a greatest hits package, with some new material thrown in). Even if there is one good song to add to their catalog I'd be happy. Wish they'd go back to their roots with a rock music producer and stop trying to make dance music. I like dance music, but it's not who they are, ultimately.

@Macguffin: "Ghosts" was actually an entirely new album (with way too many songs on it). It was packaged with a separate disc of re-recorded greatest hits (yuck), probably because they knew there would be little interest in a standalone LP.
