Swiss Dismiss

There aren't many things more mortifying than having your boyfriend get into a duel with your ex. But if that's the way it's gonna be then I guess you've got to be happy with your current squeeze coming out on top.

Warning to your Michael -- dumping the aging boyfriend for a trophy boy??? Tsk, tsk, tsk. LOL.

I get favorites, mine's Nadal. I happened to catch his 4th round at his first French Open, and, of course so adorable at 17, but it was that new spin style forehand that wowed me (and his opponents). He'll never be an "ex" though, there will just be new favorites, the more the merrier.

Most important is great tennis. While Borg, Conners and McEnroe gave us fun times, along with Becker, Agassi, Sampress,Roddick, Edberg and more, the past 10 years of Roger, Rafa and Nole have been truly the best tennis, among themselves and those who have chased them down now and then (Stan the Man, Murray, del Porto). The best decade of men's tennis ever!

take him, kenneth, he's all yours. i've tried to motivate myself to rally for djokovic, but just cannot seem to find a way. maybe because i've always preferred more mature men?

djokovic is a great player, and he may or may not surpass fed's accomplishments, but i will always choose federer's personality in the end. djokovic reminds me of an elementary school playground bully, and he hasn't become more gracious with added victories on court.

Gee, and here I didn't think Fed even had a personality. Unless you are referring to the phony way he acts to the cameras. Until he's losing or not getting his way, and then the immature, bratty-ness (that you mentioned in Djoker) comes to the surface. Djokovic isn't a bully (?!), he is one of those fun, playful people who walks with a swagger. I prefer Murray and Nadal to Djoker, but I'd prefer Satan to Fed, so there you go.

wow, you probably don't even realize how your post reinforces my opinion of djokovic, do you, macguffin? he seems to be your perfect match, hope you're happy together. i'll think of you the next time djokovic has a meltdown, and throws another of his many on-court temper tantrums during a match...

There is nothing about Federer I enjoy, including his game. He is human so he must have a personality. I just can't detect it. Djokovic is naturally talented. Once he got over the stamina issues early in his career, he's become one of the greats. He's extremely disciplined and focused yet he has a lighter, silly side to him as well. So why haven't I warmed up to him? I don't know. The tennis pundits have been trying to figure out why no one likes him for a while now. It doesn't help that his "gluten-free" diet makes him look sickly all the time. I'm with the others, a true Nadal fan. He's struggling and may never return to peak form but he's got 14 Grand Slams in his pocket and has been a joy to watch for over a decade. And he's humble, a quality many of his numerous fans find appealing.
