Eye Off the Ball

While I've been holding my breath for nearly a day anticipating the quarterfinal showdown between Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal, Stan Wawrinka earned his first-ever Grand Slam win over Roger Federer today, beating his countryman 6-4, 6-3, 7-6(4). I sure didn't see that coming!

I hate people who say they knew such and such was going to happen, but... When I looked over the draw to make sure Andy Murray was still in it (NOBODY is talking about him at all like they were just before the major began), I saw who was left and chose the winners of the next round to see who would play each other in the semis and I picked Wawrinka over the creep without hesitation, not just because I hate him (unlike the other Kool-Aid drinkers, I find him very conceited, very disenguous, very fake. Just like a kid in school who all the teachers love for being so nice and sweet and polite, but all the other kids know is a suck-up liar who talks smack behind people's backs. He presents himself in a way that is not who he really is. If you watch him, you can see the monster peak its face from behind its mask.) Of course, I also gave Sock a chance against Nadal (though, to be fair, he did take a set and I believe took another set to a tiebreaker. Had it gone 5, you never know.)
