You never know what's gonna trigger a childhood music memory -- but yesterday it was this Securities and Exchange Commission filing at work that had me desperately trying to figure out which version of this Jerry Jeff Walker song I grew up with. After lobbing a dozen artists back and forth -- EVERYONE has covered this! -- with my colleague Art, I finally realized it was the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, who normally only enter my mind when their song with Rosanne Cash -- "One Step Over the Line" -- comes on my iPod!
