"From hell" is the '90s equivalent of "just sayin'" ... happy to report I've never used either in an attempt to get a laugh. And "failed at suicide attempt"? That's low even by my standards!
What a huge loss in the passing of David Carr. He started at The Times the year before I did. Always loved reading his work -- and occasionally editing it for the News Service. Read his NYT obit HERE.
Anyone in Arizona want to give me the one-graf synopsis of this story about the new governor? I'm guessing it's not good, but I'm too lazy to read it myself.
