BREAKING: U.S. Judge Orders Alabama Official to Issue Marriage Licenses to Gay Couples

Enough with this nonsense, Roy.

The New York Times reports:
A federal judge here ordered a county official in Mobile on Thursday to comply with her earlier ruling and issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples.
In the decision, Judge Callie V. S. Granade of Federal District Court, ruled that the probate judge in Mobile County, Don Davis, from refusing to issue licenses to gay couples seeking to wed.
“Judge Davis may not deny them a license on the ground that Plaintiffs constitute same-sex couples or because it is prohibited by the sanctity of marriage,” the decision said.
Judge Granade ruling was an effort to clariy that Mr. Davis should follow her earlier ruling striking down Alabama’s ban on same-sex marriage and begin to issue licenses to same-sex couples, rather than a conflicting order from the chief justice of the Alabama Supreme Court, Roy S. Moore.
