Blondie Turns 40

Debbie Harry was shot by Annie Leibovitz for Vanity Fair's piece on the 40th anniversary of Blondie, which was written by none other than Mr. Chris Stein. In it we (apparently?) learn that the new "Ghosts of Download" album isn't being sold quite as we thought it was:
Next month, [Blondie] will release a two-disc package entitled Blondie 4(0) Ever, pairing one album of their greatest hits [re-recorded and remixed\ with another set of completely new tracks.
“Even though technologically, and technically as musicians, we’ve changed and improved, you know, there is definitely a continuity. And that’s kind of perfect, really.”
Read (or listen) HERE.

P.S. Completely pissed that I missed Debbie's performance in "Celebrity Autobiography," an utterly hilarious show I've seen before that gets celebrities to -- you guessed it -- read other celebrities' autobiographies. The hook, of course, is that they only select the memoirs of celebrities who take themselves ENTIRELY TOO SERIOUSLY, which are not too hard to find. (Ya gotta hear Joan Lunden's to believe it!) Would kill to know whose book Deb read. Other stars are participating in it on Friday. For details, click HERE.
