Have been to three movies recently and each time the trailer for "Adore" got the theater (unintentionally) laughing. Since no one at work knew about this -- I guess many people don't go to the cinema anymore -- thought I'd share it with you now. The film centers around two women who have been best friends forever (Naomi Watt and Robin Wright) and their sons (Xavier Samuel and James Frecheville) -- whom they both start sleeping with. Although we're supposed to buy it because it's got some French roots and is based on a Doris Lessing novella -- "The Grandmothers"! -- the dialogue and the situations are so over the top that I think we may have the love child of "Showgirls" and an Abercrombie & Fitch catalog on our hands! See for yourself here:
Yes, I did see it at Sundance. The boys are hot and the movie is HILARIOUSLY campy. The audience laughed the whole time and at the end of the movie the director, a French woman, got up for the Q&A and said, "I didn't realize I made a comedy!"

They should have called this "The Cougar Diaries"
What was the name of that movie from the 70's or 80's in which a son had sex with his OWN mother? I kinda enjoyed that movie.
...and another thing...why aren't there more movies about brother on brother sex?
Ben, the movie you're thinking about is Louis Malle's "Murmur of the Heart."
@Ben Nevis. I remember another movie in 1994 called "Spanking the Monkey" that had a story of a boy sleeping with his mother.
That's it Anonymous! I guess I had the wrong decades. And thanks Jeff for your mention of Murmur of the Heart. I'm gonna have to check out that movie too.Sounds very interesting.
