Picture This ... and More


This classic photo of Chrissie Hynde and Debbie Harry -- my two leading ladies of music -- is just one of the shots you will see at Chris Stein's first art exhibition in more than 30 years -- at L.A.'s Morrison Hotel Gallery -- and one of his few ever. “I had one show in London and one in New York in the early '80s -- that’s it,” Stein says. “I always meant to do more, but music has been all encompassing.” Read HERE.

 I don't know, if you are Hep to the Gibson Guitartown Project, but it's been in West Hollywood for a while and I thought you might get a kick out of this one I was delighted to find in the lobby at work. I love how Chris gets the back of the guitar
Eugene Daub, “Call Me” Mixed media guitar inspired by the music and influence of Debbie Harry, lead singer of Blondie. (Performed at the Whisky.) Eugene Daub is the recipient of the highest National Awards for sculpture and relief sculpture. He is the president of the American Medallic Sculpture Association, and a fellow and board member of the National Sculpture Society. Over the last 30 years Daub has designed and created many public art commissions for the United States government, private foundations, universities and corporations and has exhibited in the British Museum and the Smithsonian Institute, among other locations. His sculpture of Rosa Parks was unveiled by President Obama on March 27, 2013, in the U.S Capitol, Statuary Hall. The concept and pedestal were a collaboration with Rob Firmin.
