Cory Monteith Died of Lethal Combination of Heroin and Alcohol

To my knowledge, "Glee" cutie Cory Monteith never specified what his drug problems were -- but hearing that he died of a lethal overdose of heroin and alcohol may explain why. Josh C. Waller, who directed Monteith in (what is now) his last film, "McCanick" -- in which he plays a drug addict -- said the troubled star fought for the role because he thought he could "bring something very real to the character," and that when he and the producers were watching Cory's performance, they knew "something great was happening."
"You obviously don't want his death to be the reason people see it,” says Waller, who hopes “McCanick” will debut at a film festival in the near future. “I want people to see it because his performance is great. And as horrible as it is to lost a good friend, it also kind of makes it more sad, because he really pushed himself with this character. ... As an artist this guy was just getting started.”
Heartbreaking. Read more HERE.

Love is the deal, drugs just have curb appeal.
