Jane Henson died in her Connecticut home today after a long battle with cancer. She was 78. Mrs. Henson was the wife of Jim Henson from 1959 until his death in 1990. Jane met Jim in a puppetry class at the University
of Maryland and soon after became an integral creative and business partner in what would become the world-famous Muppets. A

My parents went to college with both of them at Maryland. Nice people. The orignal Kermit and A-bear sit in her sorority house showcase as the characters were developed for local DC tv at the time.
I used to know Jane. She was utterly wonderful. I'm so sad.
