Kennedy v. Kennedy

Although Justice Kennedy said some things that made me hopeful, it gives me pause when the Supreme Court's "swing" vote acts like this "whole gay thing" was only invented five years ago, so maybe we need to wait and see if it's not just a fad. Friendly reminder to the justices and the media: Just because Stonewall was in 1969 doesn't mean gay people have only been waiting 44 years for equality.

Of course, then we have our non-allies:

“You want us to step in and render a decision based on an assessment of the effects of this institution, which is newer than cell phones or the Internet?" -- Justice Alito

Yeah, because the idea of two people who love each other being married is younger than cell phones and the Internet. Why isn't the media jumping down their throast for this nonsense?
