Bills, Bills, Bills

I totally get why journalist Nate Thayer is annoyed/offended that The Atlantic would ask if he'd be interested in shortening an article of his that ran elsewhere for the magazine but say they wouldn't be able to compensate him for his work. (“We unfortunately can’t pay you for [your piece], but we do reach 13 million readers a month.”) But if his e-mail is any indication, I'm not convinced he could trim the story down to 1,200 words the way he repeats himself over and over and over ... geez!
