AIDS-de-Camp

The directors of  "How to Survive a Plague" and "United in Anger: A History of ACT Up" will sit down for a conversation at Kellen Auditorium on Saturday, March 9, to discuss their landmark documentaries. Tony Whitfield will moderate.

Details:
"Surviving, Uniting, Anger and the Plague: A Conversation With Directors David France and Jim Hubbard" Saturday March 9
6:30pm – 9:30pm
Kellen Auditorium.
66 Fifth Avenue at 13th Street, ground floor

This conversation brings together directors David France and Jim Hubbard to discuss their documentaries, both which explore AIDS activism during the earliest days of the ongoing pandemic in New York City. Moderated by Tony Whitfield. To attend, RSVP here.

Preceded by the following screenings in the Kellan Auditorium:
11 a.m. — "The Other City" (2010, dir. Susan Koch)
1:30 p.m. — "How To Survive a Plague" (2012, dir David France)
4 p.m. — "United in Anger: A History of ACT UP" (2012, dir. Jim Hubbard)

I saw "United in Anger" first, then watched as "Plague" got all of the acclaim, so will be interested in hearing how both films happened to be made at the exact same time.
