Weekend Real Estate Section

Via ABC News, which compiled an especially interesting slide show of celebrity real estate listings this week::

Carly Simon relisted her two-bedroom, two-bathroom condo in New York City's West Village for $2.495 million. According to The Real Estalker blog, Simon first listed the duplex in 2008 for $3.85 million. Two years later, she listed again for $2.975 million. The property has two wood-burning fireplaces, exposed brick walls and only two other residences in the building. Despite her reputation as a publishing heiress, Carly says she is not that well-off, and sued Starbucks for failing to execute the contract she signed with the coffee giant's now-defunct record label. She's undoubtedly counting on the sale of her New York apartment for retirement funds.

The house that was used for exterior shots on "The Mary Tyler Moore Show" is on sale in Minnesota for $2.895 million. In the '70s sitcom, the eponymous main character lived in an apartment upstairs, best friend Rhoda lived in the attic, while the landlord Phyllis lived on the main floor. It's actually a 7-bed home with 6.5 bathrooms. A couple bought it in the 1990s without realizing its history (WTF?????).  More HERE.

James Franco bought a duplex in the Silver Lake neighborhood of Los Angeles for $775,000 according to the Real Estalker blog. Franco has previously lived in New York City, attending Columbia University and New York University. The property has a main home with two bedrooms and an additional attached 1-bed, 1-bath area with kitchen and deck -- and, of course, is close to all of the city's gay leather bars. More HERE.

Madonna has listed her Beverly Hills home for $22.5 million after 10 years of ownership. She first lsited the 1.25 gated property for $28 million since early 2012. She purchased it for $12 million in 2003 when she was married to director Guy Ritchie. She renovated the home, built in 1912, including the 9-bed 17,000-square-feet home. How Guy didn't keep this one is anyone's guess! More HERE.

The former home of F. Scott Fitzgerald in Baltimore is on the market for $450,000. He was 36 when he moved into the home in 1932 and deep in debt despite writing about lavish living in "The Great Gatsby" in 1925. It still has "markers of the elegant jazz era: generous-sized rooms, double French doors and numerous ornate fireplaces." It was built in 1900 and spans 3,600 square feet, but the lack of closet space will drive you crazy -- ask Zelda! More HERE.

Many more listings HERE.
