Hey, I'm all for egalitarianism. But now that couples like Washingtonians Will and Dan Neville-Rehbehn are having bake sales to raise funds to have a baby -- those egg donors, surrogates and in vitro fertilization don't come cheap -- there goes the best part of having two gay men as parents: That they're usually well-off. i don't get the whole surrogacy thing. my adopted kids couldn't be more a part of me even if we shared the same DNA. i'll stop there.
My feeling is ... if they have to have a "fundraiser" to MAKE and child ... where do they intend to find the money to RAISE a child? I know that remark will get me in trouble but I'm seeing a lot of this sort of thing (fundraising to acquire children) among straight couples and now the gays are joining in. And responding to the first comment, I agree! I'm adopted and I am as much my father's son as if we shared DNA. Well put, anonymous.
