Song of the Day: 'Stumblin' In' by Suzi Quatro and Chris Norman

Although she was already an inspiration to a generation of teenage rocker chicks in the UK, it wasn't until her role as Leather Tuscadero on "Happy Days" that I first fell in love with Suzi Quatro. Garry Marshall reportedly cast the Detroit native without an audition after seeing her photo on his daughter's bedroom wall. Although her moment in the American spotlight was short-lived, her television stardom finally landed her on the U.S. charts with the wonderful "Stumblin' In," which hit No. 4 in 1979.

OMG, Kenneth, I love love LOVE this song. Was a huge Suzi Quatro fan back in the day, but this song is still one of my favorites and I'm not ashamed to admit it's one of the 25 most played on my iPod.

Joan Jett supposedly stalked her back in the day before making it big on her own. You can definitely see the influence Suzi had on Joan's look. Interesting that Joan ultimately had/has the more successful career.
