Tebowing(TM)

Jesus H. Christ:  How can you trademark getting down on one knee and praying???

The New York Post reports:
Surely many of Tim Tebow’s legion of followers have suggested the Jets’ backup quarterback’s patent Tebowing, his signature prayer. Apparently he's done exactly that, applying for and a trademark and being accepted by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office – although he actually seemed surprised when told Friday.
“It did?” Tebow laughed. “I knew that this stuff that had been talked about, but I didn’t know everything had gone through.’’
Tebow did so through patent and trademark specialist Anthony Keats, a California attorney who did not immediately return a call from the Post. The application was filed by Tebow’s marketing arm, XV Enterprises Limited; although he insists it isn’t about marketing or even money, but controlling the message. He doesn’t expect to profit himself off the trademark, but if he does, any money would go toward his Tim Tebow Foundation.

What BS, so now what ? In the U.S. we are going to have to ask this idiot's permission to kneel on one knee ? or pay a royalty for doing so ? People that wear their religion on their arm like this guy does really annoy me. I always thought the way you could tell a real "christian" was by their actions and not from their trumpeting it at every opportunity; that of course is based on the assumption that only real "christians" are the only people who behave decently. I am really tired of people thrusting their religion in my face at every opportunity.

That guy is going to have such a hard fall when he is finally outed, or just comes out.

Every time he does "it" I think it is a commercial anyway.

Er, isn't it un-Christian to patent a prayerful position -- and thus discourage others from praying? (Tim Tebow, you could be putting someone's soul in jeopardy with your selfish action!)
